A one-time strategy session is a focused, in-depth meeting with a Certified Profit First Professional here on staff at Beyond Your Books. It is designed to address your unique business model, financial challenges and goals. Whether you’re new to Profit First or looking for expert insight into optimizing your cash flow, this session will provide actionable strategies to implement immediately.

This session is ideal for:
Those who have read or listened to the Profit First book, but didn’t know where to start!

Business owners who want a clearer understanding of their cash flow.
Small business owners surprised by a tax bill — and need to be more prepared next time!
Those who started to implement the Profit First method but got stuck.
3. What will I get out of it?
During the session, you’ll:
Gain clarity on your business’ financial health and current profitability
Learn how to the Profit First principles could work for your unique business model.
Receive a Quick Assessment with a Certified Profit First Professional
Walk away with a personalized action steps to improve your understanding of your cash flow.
4. How long is the session?
Typically, sessions last 1 hour, allowing enough time to dive into your financial situation, answer your questions, and provide tailored recommendations. Financial reports are often provided prior to the session so that the Certified Profit First Professional can start your Quick Assessment, assess your revenue bracket, approximate profit margin and basic cash flow trends.
5. Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?
Yes! To make the most of your session, you’ll need to provide:
Current and past year Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and Balance Sheet
A snapshot of your current bank account balances.
Access to your accounting software and/or prepared reports.
Any specific questions, concerns, monetary goals you have about your finances.
Our team will guide you through the preparation process once you book your session.
6. Is it really just one session?
Absolutely! While many clients find this one-time session to be the jumpstart they need, some choose to work with us further for ongoing coaching and support. It’s entirely up to you—no pressure, no obligation.
We leave the door open to options to work together in the future — custom quoting available for bookkeeping services or ongoing coaching relationship.
7. How does this differ from general coaching or bookkeeping?
Unlike general business coaching, a one-time strategy session with a Certified Profit First Professional is laser-focused on the financial systems, workflows and strategies of your unique cash flow management. This is a great option if you are not financially prepared for a longer commitment, you haven’t outsourced bookkeeping or accounting yet, or already have a fabulous team in place — and simply want some perspective on your next area of focus for success.
Although Beyond Your Books is a full-service remote bookkeeping firm, this session will not include bookkeeping services. Our on-staff coach can demonstrate the value in accurate recording keeping and the power of delegation once your business reaches the stage where you may look to hire a firm.
8. How much does it cost?
Pricing for a one-time strategy session is currently $500.00.
Beyond Your Books offers a complementary Discovery call with both our Onboarding / Operations Manager for custom quoting bookkeeping services; as well as a free 15-minute session with our Profit First Coach. This does not include review of financial materials, but is simply an introduction and brief conversation about your goals and needs.
9. What happens after the session?
You’ll leave the session with clarity on how to move forward with your action steps to success. You may choose to implement Profit First on your own, decide to start at a later date, or focus on other priorities first. Making the decision to invest in further coaching will give you the confidence to implement Profit First in your business.
